Dr. Maurits van den Noort (Dordrecht, 1977) is autodidact with respect to his artistic work. He paints from his intuition, and the bird - as a symbol of freedom is a frequently returning element. Because of the primary colours combined with a Prussian-blue background and an appropriate and original frame, every contemporary work of Maurits van den Noort is highly recognisable.
